Discover Leisure committed to helping consumers
Remaining staff at Discover Leisure committed to helping their consumers.
Touring caravan insurance customers who have purchased caravans from Discover Leisure might be heartened to hear that the remaining staff at the company are committed to trying to help existing consumers.
Discover went into administration at the end of last week after reporting pre-tax losses of £1.5 million for the year to August 31st and it was forced to make 240 of the 260 staff across its five sites redundant.
KPMG was appointed as the administrator and the firm's northern head of restructuring Mark Firmin said the company suffered due to a depressed consumer demand for high value items.
Recent caravan insurance buyers with warranties with the organisation have been advised to contact the company directly on its dedicated helpline.
"We have a dedicated help line on 0845 617 1490. However, we are experiencing high call volumes so please be patient," the statement read on its website.
It is thought the remaining staff at the company will now work with the administrators in an attempt to save some or all of the company.
