The area has a great deal to offer visitors and is home to a superb range of attractions, it has been claimed.
Motorhome insurance customers hoping to take a break over the February half term have been advised to head for Cumbria.
Nicola Hewitson, spokesperson for Cumbria Tourism, said the county has a great deal to offer, from peaceful fells to spectacular cultural attractions and delightful restaurants.
"West Cumbria is known as the birthplace of climbing and so is an incredibly popular destination for those wanting to make the most of the outdoors," she commented.
Ms Hewitson added that there are a number of exciting events taking place in the area over the coming months, including the Festival of Fools at Muncaster, Keswick Jazz Festival and the Cumberland County Show, as well as Mintfest and Lakes Alive.
Motorhome insurance customers who are keen to learn more about the area may be interested to find out that a new 12-part series about Cumbria is currently airing on ITV.
Presented by Rory McGrath, it focuses on local businesses, attractions and festivals.
