How to claim on your motorhome insurance policy
We use three specialist motorhome insurers (Equity Red Star, Groupama and Premier Underwriting) who aim to provide a motorhome insurance claims service that is fast, efficient and friendly.
In the event of a motorhome insurance claim who should I call?
It is important that you initially establish which motorhome insurer is providing insurance cover for your vehicle. The name of the insurer and the applicable policy reference number will be shown on your current certificate of motorhome insurance.
If your motorhome is damaged as a result of an accident, fire, theft or vandalism
For EQUITY RED STAR motorhome insurance customers
- Call the Equity Red Star 24 hour “Accident and Theft Damage Claims Helpline” on 0844 561 1141.
For GROUPAMA motorhome insurance customers
- Call the Groupama Claimline on 0870 240 1895 (or 0044 23 9220 5450 if you are phoning from outside the United Kingdom) as soon as possible.
For PREMIER UNDERWRITING motorhome insurance customers
- Call the Premier Underwiting 24 hour "Accident and Theft Damage Claims Helpine" on 0845 013 1518.
If your motorhome’s windscreen is damaged
For EQUITY RED STAR motorhome insurance customers
- Call the Equity Red Star “Windscreen Damage Claims Helpline” on 0844 561 1934.
For GROUPAMA motorhome insurance customers
- Call the Glassline if you need to claim for a broken windscreen or broken glass on 0800 854 454 (0044 23 9220 5450 if you are phoning from outside the United Kingdom).
For PREMIER UNDERWRITING motorhome insurance customers
- Call Premier Underwriting “Windscreen Damage Claims Helpline” on 0845 075 1966.

How do I make a motorhome insurance claim ?
As the insurer may take control of handling and negotiating any motorhome insurance claim, it is important that you do not admit that you are responsible, or make any offer, promise or payment without written permission of the insurer. You should:
- send the insurer written details as soon as possible after any accident, injury, loss or damage
- send the insurer, unanswered, any letter or other communication as soon as you receive it from anyone else involved
- immediately tell the insurer about any prosecution, coroner’s inquest or fatal accident inquiry involving any person covered by this insurance
- give the insurer all the information and help they need
