Trigano Olympe - living with it
The Trigano Olympe is no doubt a very spacious unit. Its designers have gone to the limits to make this trailer tent a model that packs a punch in a relatively compact package - so how does it work? The Trigano comes with a built-in awning, which as already mentioned, is very useful at multiplying the size of floor space, it also comes with a groundsheet which zips in. The customer can also have an optional extra sun canopy which also has covered sides, this further increases the Olympe adding even more living area.
The kitchen unit supplied with the GL version here is neatly designed to fit on one of the two sides of the awning. The neat yet simple kitchen comprises of a sink/drainer made from stainless steel. It also comes with a three-burner gas hob plus cold running water on tap from a small water container within the unit’s cupboard where it’s pumped from. Storage in the kitchen is surprisingly good with two drawers and cutlery tray. The trays slide out easy and build quality is really hard to fault. The kitchen unit is sturdy too and is placed at a decent height in which it’s easy to use.
The interior walls also have some useful material storage pouches as you enter the central dinette area. Either side of the trailer are the double beds. These look comfortable enough and large enough for two persons to be able to have a good night’s rest in them. Trigano has given the two double beds beech slats and air foamed mattresses which Trigano says are up to motorhome bedding standards. Beneath the two doubles you can also place another bedroom for one person, however we reckon most will use these areas as storage for camping equipment that isn’t needed on a daily basis.
The dinette is well designed, it’s spacious even when the free-standing table supplied is erected. The air foam filled seating feels comfortable too though the Olympe does have solid seat bases. However these still feel very comfortable. More storage is offered beneath the seats which will be useful for six people using the Olympe. Also more storage is added at the front of the unit with drawers being fitted.
