The new Sprite Lite 2 caravan - the verdict
If you’ve been a tent user or had an old tourer the Sprite Lite caravan’s kitchen will impress. It comes with a 115-litre fridge plus a twin burner hob and grill, and the same quality granite sink finish found in the dearer Swift caravans. Cupboard storage is excellent as to is roof locker storage in the Lite’s kitchen, plus a roof locker is designed here to (mains socket is fitted) add a microwave oven. Worktop will offer plenty of space to prepare food for a couple and also a plug socket is fitted for using such items as a kettle.
Opposite the kitchen is a side dresser, its here the Truma heater (gas only) is fitted. Extra worktop here can be utilised and another mains socket with TV aerial connector is fitted too for putting a TV on. Storage is provided by a roof locker and on the entrance door side near the floor of the dresser there are shelves. Over the entrance door the Sprite Lite’s control panel is fitted. Step through into the rear end washroom of the Sprite and you notice just how large this area is without a shower cubicle. This was seen as not being essential as most users of the Lite will go on sites with full facilities. A cassette manual flush swivel loo is fitted along with deep hand basin and cupboard storage beneath. In the nearside corner a large wardrobe offering excellent hanging space is built in and its here the free-standing table is stored too.
Does the new Sprite Lite 2 caravan deliver what it says on the tin?
Well it’s got to be said it certainly does, for those who want a new tourer, but may use it only a few times a year (and also don’t want to change the car) the Sprite Lite 2 could be all you ever need. It doesn’t have a shower but it does have a dual fuel Truma quick heat up water heater installed. What we especially like to see is that the Sprite-Lite is offering a tourer that’s perfectly practical and affordable plus its light. For those wanting essential basics, comfort, plus space and easy storage the Lite 2 will fit the bill perfectly.
