The Gobur range

The Goburs offer those who don’t want a conventional solid tourer, a unit that’s still well finished yet can be stowed in a garage. Gobur offer a very good choice of folding caravan models with three ranges being available in the Carousel line-up.

There is the Slimline range at just 1.72m width with body lengths from 3.10m to 3.56m (all being two berths). The Standard range comes with a width of 2.08m and lengths from 3.10m to 3.56m. These are joined by the top Clubman range available with two layouts; the 3.95m x 2.08m offers the same basic layout except one has an L-shaped rear lounge.

Gobur also supplies specially designed awnings for the caravans and have Isabella manufacture them in various colours. Gobur also find that most of their caravans are built with customer input so most off-the-peg models are enhanced making them more personalised to a buyer’s taste.

Easy folding caravan assembly

Owners find that the erection and collapsing of the Gobur is so easy. Taking just minutes to perform the task or, as Gobur say, by the time it takes to boil an egg, the Carousel is erected. It’s easy to see why Gobur have been a long-term player in this niche market place.

We were shown just how easy it is to fold the Carousel up or down and little effort is needed to get the tourer up and running and ready to use. Erecting the Gobur with the sides folding out assisted with gas struts is so easy. Once the sides are up and the roof in place the other job is to pop some of the cupboards back into place and the seating cushions in position. So for a Gobur owner it takes around ten minutes max to have the van ready to use.
