Eterniti Genesis IB4 caravan review
Eterniti is a whole new name in caravan manufacturing that Shield caravan insurance customers may not yet be familiar with. It is looking to kick off the 2013 season with a real bang, thanks to its initial caravan models coming with cleverly engineered, electrically operated slide-out sections offering some five square metres of extra on-site living space.
Contrary to some earlier reports, rather than two models there are two whole ranges – Eterniti Genesis and Chronicle.
The former will be twin-axles (two models) and the latter will be kick off with three single-axle models. Both line-ups feature Eterniti’s own Thermashield bodywork construction (including Styrofoam insulation, GRP sides and full walk-on roof), promising greater all-round rigidity as well as superior levels of insulation. BPS provides the chassis here.

All-new Eterniti comes with a smart profile and quality coachwork.
The Eterniti Genesis IB4 we’re focusing on here has an overall length of 8.62 m and a maximum weight of 1,999kg, coming in at just under £25,000.
Layout here makes the most of that sliding section, with a king-size transverse island bed (that’s 6ft 8in x 6ft) offering more space around it than any other such design, complete with accompanying dresser.
The washroom across the back offers a generous shower cubicle, Dometic ceramic-bowl toilet and surface-mounted washbasin.

Interior innovations include a hide-away flatscreen TV.
Between the bedroom and the lounge the galley kitchen, features an L-shaped unit housing sink and drainer, plus worktop, that’s part of the slide-out section. Opposite is the cooker and 190-litre fridge/freezer.
Luxury soft furnishings (there’s a choice, plus leathers) are complemented by a choice of two-tone furniture – Savanna Bronze/Oak or Apple Bella/Mocha.
Mouthwatering stuff, indeed.
