Security - what do we need to know?

Just like a home made from bricks and mortar you still need to stay secure and of course insured. Make sure that you tell your Park Home Insurance company all the correct information on the full value of the home and anything you have of value. Being underinsured can bring misery when a claim is made and doesn’t save money in the long run. Fitting security devices such as a good alarm will put off any intruder who wants to break into your home.

Look for a park that suits your needs regarding position and size.

However, most of the parks are small communities in which residents look out for each other and the parks are usually on privately-owned secure estates, so cutting down the risk of mainstream burglary as you may find in a typical suburban street. When you choose your park it’s always a good idea to talk to some of the residents as you look around to find out about security and if any burglaries have taken place. Also if you want a pitch next to a section of public footpath, it’s always a safe bet to see if this may cause a problem with leaving items outside of the home when you’re not around.
