After 2 glorious years at Alexandra Palace in London, the Edible Garden Show was hosted this year out amongst 1000 acres of beautiful countryside at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
The Edible Garden Show has had over 70,000 visitors since its debut in 2011 and has “grown” from strength to strength; in fact, it’s really beginning to “blossom” as a show.
This year saw free parking for over 20,000 vehicles on offer for the first time, free Wi-Fi and an amazing new free “Shop and Drop service, that enabled the less mobile (or the lazy) to shop to their heart’s content, before having their purchases dropped off at their vehicles by a team of assistants.
Virgin Wines also had a presence at this year’s show with their Village Green area, bringing the charm of an English summer fete. Expect Morris Dancers, traditional games, traditional snacks, traditional ales and, of course, a lot of wine tasting.
Fans of the show experienced all the same events and areas as the last two years, including popular attractions such as The Bee Hive and The Chicken Coop, where children and adults alike can learn all sorts of amazing facts about the keeping of bees and hens.
The Experts Theatre also returned with guests such as ethno-botanist and television presenter James Wong, as well as the BBC’s Christine Walden and Pippa Greenwood.
