UK Cover
Doorstep cover (Shield's version of "home start") is included
automatically. Recovery to home or intended destination when breakdown
occurs over 1 mile from home. Roadside recovery of vehicle, driver and
up to 7 passengers. Overnight accommodation (where necessary). 24 hour
car hire for alternative transport. If your vehicle breaks down on the
outward journey of a pre-booked UK camping/caravanning holiday and it
cannot be repaired during the holiday we will transport the vehicle and
passengers home at the end of the holiday.
Continental European Cover
Roadside recovery of vehicle and up to £250 roadside labour costs.
Up to £175 to secure your vehicle following attempted theft. Repatriation
to the UK for the driver and up to 7 passengers. Car hire cover up to
maximum of £750. Overnight accommodation up to £125 per person up to a
maximum of £750. Emergency chauffeur to destination if driver is incapacitated.
Continental Trip Duration Options
Standard - 31 days single trip - max 60 days per annum.
Standard "Plus" - 90 days single trip - max 270 days
per annum
Long Stay - 180 days single trip - max 270 days per annum. No
vehicles over 10 years old
Car & Caravan Cover
Policies include: cover for vehicles up to 7m long, 3m high and 2.5m wide
(excluding caravan). Gross vehicle weight up to 3,500kg.
