Touring caravan insurance customers that are hoping to take a break over the coming months may wish to point their vehicles towards the north-east of England.
According to the NewcastleGateshead Initiative, visitors will find a packed programme of cultural events on offer this year.
"We are proud of the diverse and innovative events that we have delivered over the years, many of which have been both unique and exceptional - and this year's choice will certainly rival the best of them," said Carol Bell, head of programme development at the organisation.
Highlights include the AV Festival, which kicks off on March 5th and celebrates electronic arts.
Visitors can also see the illuminating of Hadrian's Wall and attend the annual Newcastle Science Festival, which commences on March 12th.
Some of Newcastle's most popular attractions include the Beamish Open Air Museum, the Biscuit Factory and Opus Gallery.
